Shawntel Waajid

With four decades of expertise, Shawntel Waajid is an educator, entrepreneur, and owner of The Nappy Hutt. Beyond the salon chair, "Ms. Shawn" is a national speaker and the creator of the Shawntel Marie and Kings Solution grooming lines. Her mission is to inspire the next generation of stylists through accessible education and a commitment to independent business ownership.

A pillar of her community, Ms. Shawn has graced the stages of world-renowned platforms including the Taliah Waajid World Natural Hair Show, Bronner Bros, Kevin Kirk's Jam Session, and Premiere. 2026 marks the 10th anniversary of her transformative 2-Day Hands-on Seminars, through which she has mentored over 50 stylists in Savannah and countless others nationwide, empowering them to master locs, braids, and natural hair while building 6-figure businesses.
